Lion dance

The lion dance is performed in China for festivities such as weddings, jubilees, New Year or business openings. The well-known Chinese lion has been firmly anchored in the mythology for centuries. It represents happiness, success and health.

Two dancers are under an artistic lion dance costume and are accompanied by traditional Chinese instruments. The eyes and mouth of the lion can be moved and, together with the movements, represent the various states of mind of the lion.

Rittirong Konggann found his personal lion 2011 in Foshan. The lion dance equipment purchased there filled half of its hotel room. On the stage of the German Xmas Con, we proudly present the lion from Foshan.
